| it’s existence so far include: |

- ‘The Games for the Disabled’ which started in the year of the Disabled in 1981 with over 300 competitors from all over the country. There were 10 different sports including Wheelchair Basketball, Archery, Pistol Shooting, Table Tennis, Darts, Swimming, Bowls, Draughts and Dominos, plus a Wheelchair Slalom around town

A two year fundraiser to provide a Community Ambulance for the use of Hinckley Residents.

An annual event which has run for several years to transport disabled children from local schools to Ashby Statutes Fair and includes lunch in Market Bosworth on the way home.

A Page Turner for a handicapped man who could not use his limbs.

A tricycle for a young girl with severe disability.

Christmas lunch and entertainment for the elderly

Taking OAP’s to Pantomimes.

Transported people for hospital visits.

Regular Santa Visits to local Hospitals.

Helped to Marshal and collect at carnivals
As memebers of the Hinckley and Burbage Lions club, it gives us great pleasure and satisfaction to serve our communinity while enjoying ourselves at the same time. |

We meet twice a month. The 2nd Monday of the month is a Business Meeting and the 4th Monday of the month is a social meeting. |
